Java Fern

One of my Java Ferns has new grow / roots sprouting off almost all the leaves... can these be separated and planted separately?

Any ideas?

I had that happen too. IMO I'd let them grow off the parent plant till they get to be an inch or so. They will eventually drop off on their own or you can pick em off. I was able to sell some of the plants back to the store I bought them from. Not sure if we have the same plant or not. Mine were just called "Java Plants" by the store owner. Pretty cool to see huh?!

Yep. That's just the java fern reproducing. I let them get large enough to plant and then take them off. Or wait for them to fall off as so often happens. Great way to get more plants without having to buy more!

They do have a really neat/interesting way of reproducing. :3

Thanks thekoimaiden. Some of the new plants are almost 1" long with roots. Will wait for themto fall of... lots of new plants!
