It would be best to use pellets, a higher quality pellet tho, like Omega One, or New Life Spectrum and Hakari Gold, are some of the best ones..so try one of those..also just want to add, for now you should change to a hopsital tank, like a Kritter keeper for salt treatment.. not sure if a bowl can hold a heater, but yes, you need a thermometer as well..Hope your fishy gets well soon..Good Luck:)

I have been using a Cupcake liner "Cup" and it has been working fine, those big cups maybe too thick for scooping, I tried that one before too, and my Sammy hated it..and ever since I switched, he's not aaas baaad..try using a different method of cupping, or different cup:)

Like 2-4 per feeding. They're supposed to be treats if you feed Pellets. I think Stress Coat is an additive to make the Betta's stress coat more stronger.

Oh, and how do I use aquarium salt? How much? Do I just dump it in there after a water change? >.<

You don't have to use it, though. You have to premix the salt in the new water that you're going to put in the tank. It's 1 teaspoon per gallon. Introduce the new water containing the salt carefully to Donald.

What I usually do to acclimate is put enough water for him to be comfortable in his tank and every 20-30 minutes putting a half a cup lid (for the tall mugs that people use for coffee on the go) of water into the tank. Would that be alright? Also, is it good to put the towel on the tank? Should I keep the lights out?

Yes, that's good acclimation. Remember to use the correct amount! And darkness should help him to calm down after the fiasco.

My sister said that I'm the one who needs a towel over my head. :P He's doing great and isn't acting stressed or anything. I'm the one who's flipping out. xD

OMG! Donald is shaking and swimming around in circles really fast. He NEVER does this! He usually just sits there and plays with the beads at the bottom of his tank. I just watched him for a few seconds because I had the light on and I didn't want to freak him out. He didn't start just when I lifted the towel, it looked like he had been doing it before.
