Cory in 10 gallon tank?

I have a 10 gallon tank with one male betta, 2 assassin snails and 5 pristella tetras. Also have a few live plants. Getting quite a bit of algae going on. I realize I might need to move the tetras at some point but they all seem to be getting along fine for now. Can I add a couple of cory catfish or will I be overstocking? If I can't, any other suggestions for the algae?

Nope, a 10 gallon tank is super small for the fish keeping world because it still can't hold a lot of fish. It just doesn't have the space for that many fish to be swimming around. And bettas need their space...

For algae cut back on the time lights are on to a maximum of 12 hours and make sure that all your parameters are normal. High nitrates can cause algae.
