sorry, one more as I'm thinking

I just did a 100% water change about 12 hours ago, before, and even now, i have noticed a "film" floating on the water. Any idea what it iis?

The protein off the food. It's harmless but unsightly. You can remove it by sucking at the surface of the water with water vacuum, turkey baster or a cup. Or you can lay a paper towel on it and it will collect it :)

thank you, all I've fed him after changing the water was live BBS. would that still cause it?

Yep. I don't know what brine shrimp eat but they could have been the cause from their own food.. But I bet they're super high in protein and would definitely have released some in the water an Sushi ate them up :)

thank you! Do you know how many I should feed at a time? or how to go about freezing the ones I have so they don't get wasted? I have posted other threds asking these q's but haven't had any replies. :0( I'm sure, or hope, I will, I'm just anxious! lol

They're live? Sorry, the only live food I fed was a fruit fly I found in my house! lol
I buy and keep frozen bloodworms wrapped in a plastic bag in the freezer. I cut half a block at a time and thaw it in a shot glass of water before feeding.
