Should i put her back?

I took a female out of my sorority about a week ago because she was very sluggish, lost a lot of her color and wasnt eating. well shes still not eating in her 1/2 gallon bowl (that gets 100% water changes every other day). so is it better for her to go back in the 10 gal sorority even though theres an even less chance she'll get to eat in there? (she very passive and the others boss her around)

No. A weak or sick fish is a dead fish in a sorority. Trust me!! She is better off not in the sorority.

HOWEVER try floating a container (1/2-1 gallon) in the main tank to keep the temperature right.

My questions for you: How new are they? How many females do you have? Did you quarantine them before adding them? What's the temperature?

the girl who isnt eating isnt really new, about a month or so. theres 3 other females that i got at the same time as her and a girl that i got yesterday (who she hasnt met yet). so theres a total of 5 bettas, 4 in my 10 gal and the little girl in the 1/2 gal. i didnt qurantine them as long as i should have, just like 3 days because i had to keep them in the little cups they came in and i felt guilty. and the temperature is normally around 80ish. but ive been keeping the betta i got yesterday in a 1/2 gal floating box because shes much smaller than the rest, but ive let her out a few times and seems to be getting along nicely. so maybe ill put this starving little girl in the box instead.

That would be a good idea.

I highly recommend 2 week quarantines. What you can do, is get some tupperware, tubs, etc as quarantines. They are not fancy, but they can range from 1/2 to 10 gallons usually.

so after spending about 2-3 hours in the box she has seemed to take a turn for the worse. she seems very "top heavy" , where it looks like her head and the front part of her body is getting really hard to lift. she just rests her chest area on the bottom of the box. and i offered her flakes and bloodworms but she didnt show any interest in either.

I've had this happen before. When they do not feel good my females do that....resting their head in a plant or log, or if there is nothing there, then they seem "top heavy" too. I might suggest removing her, if the water is the same as the tank's (breeder's netted/flow box) and floating her in a container just in case.

I'm sorry to hear about your "depressed" lil girl. Good juju vibes that she perks up!

well thank you for the well wishes! I'm gonna keep her in the tank overnight because I don't have a heater and the bowl and I hope the warmer water will do her some good :)
