Starting a sorority...

So, I have a 10 gallon tank and would like to start a sorority for 5 girls in a couple of months.

Any tip & advice for this?

I have read that let them get used to each other in their bowls before you put them in together as they float in them and get used to the water.

I have also read to keep it heavily planted and with lots of hiding spots.

Any super important things I must know before I actually go out and buy the girls (Which wont be until September/October)

Anything to help is appreciated!

U can either float all the cups in the tanks and release one girl at a time or you can release all of them at the same time. Heavily planted really means heavily planted as in there should be no line of sight from one side to the other (well for the fish anyways).

Do they have to be live plants?
