Betta Needs

Hey so im watching kasara's fish sence she is on vacation. one of her bettas i think was attacked by one of her shrimp, or other fish because its fins got shredded, anyways her fin tips are fuzzy and part of her body has it as well, i have read all of the diseases on here but could not find one that sounded like it. does any one have any idea what it could be. i have not used aquarium salt yet because of the cuts on her. if any one could help that would be good.

Without a picture, it can be hard to guess what's up with the fuzzy spots. Could be a fungal infection--or it could be columnaris. See the stickies at the top of this site for help. Adding aquarium salt won't hurt for a starter--will help with the shredded fins and assorted owwies. But check out the Stickies! Good luck.

Isolate and treat with aquarium salt. It's better to go through a mild sting rather than a painful infection.

Dissolve 1 tsp/gal of aquarium salt in treated water and do 100% daily water changes for up to 10 days.
