Question Hello! Nice to meet you all!

Hello I just joined! My name is Nowl. I owner 3 betta fish (I just love bettas) Vampy (male), Vampress (female), Poptart (male). Vampy was m first betta fish, Vampress was my second and Poptart that I just got a few days ago was my third.

One little question (searched the Internet and I found nothing... ) in the tank water I can see little bugs. There pretty much a flea size and smaller. There white and if you look close enough you can see the tiny little legs of them. I'm wondering of they are bad or somthing?

But nice to meet you all!

Hi, welcome to the forum.

They sound like water mites but we need pictures to be sure. A few of them are usually harmless. But if you have an outbreak, they may attack the less healthy fish. If you're worried, siphon them out every time you see them.

Sorry I can't. As much as I take pictures you never see them.
How would I take them out?

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have no idea what they might be as I am fairly new to Betta keeping. I have had my little guy for 2 months and really adore him !
Do you have a gravel cleaner ? They can be used to siphon out the water, you could use one to try and get those bugs out when you see them just try and siphon them out. Good luck and best of wishes !

Don't worry those little "bugs" are harmless. If they are bugging you do that siphoning like everyone else said. :)

Hello and Welcome to the wonderful world of becoming a betta mommy, It would depend on how often you are changing the water, and what size tank you have your lil fishy's in..if the water is stagnant, you may encounter lil bugs growing in the water, eew not a good thing the water needs to be changed more often, and oxygenated for air to circulate and it won't stagnate.

When I first got our betta, this is what happened before I upgraded a basic Petco bowl for a 3 gal tank with an aeration stone, for the oxygenation, I was quite alarmed and realized how much water needed changing, especially in smaller containers, also they are jumpers and if you don't have a lid, your fishy's could jump out. just some things to check out,

being a betta mommy does take work, and it's good that you found this forum to get all the answers your looking for. I hope this helps, look forward to seeing some pix of your lil guys:)
