My new Chameleon Betta

Here is my new fish, a female Betta I named Star. She changed colors on me! LOL First picture is when I got her home and changed the water in her cup. She was still a light violet and baby blue color.... Then the next picture is later that day, she had started to change colors.... the last picture is Star in the morning the next day! Completly changed colors!

I bought her because of her light pastel violet and baby blue color... But now she must be showing her "True" colors because she is happy in her new home!

I love her anyway in any color

I have had DOZENS of bettas and none of them have ever changed color that much that fast in just one day. My other Bettas changed usually just a tiny bit of a different shade after like weeks to months.

I thought my boyfriend had played a trick on me and put a different Betta in Star's cup. ha ha He dubbed her nick name "Star the Chameleon Betta" ;)

she's pretty! its not uncommon for bettas to lose their colour when they are stressed, so often bettas from pet stores are a duller version of how they actually look in good conditions.
