Best type for 1 gal?

I have a 1 gallon tank that used to house a small female, but she recently passed away I want to get another betta for the 1 gal tank, what is the best type for a 1 gallon? Long-finned male / female? Plakat male / female? Do plakats need more or less space?

I'm good with daily water changes, so that shouldn't be a problem. Its also got a little heater.

I would stay away from plakats and females for a one gallon. I think that since their fins are shorter and they can swim much more easily, they need more space to be able to exercise.

I would go with a male with super long fins (:

No Plakats. They need more space. I think decent-sized Betta Fish. Like Veiltails. No Giants, Kings, or Plakats.

Arent you supposed to do 2 50%s and 1 100% each week? I'm pretty sure there's such a thing as too clean water.

Anyways, a smaller longfinned male should do well in there. Have fun shopping!

It's actually 1 50% and 1 100%. And daily changes would be a bit too stressful.
