Please fill out this form and I will gladly help you with the ick/fungus!! (:

Some people feed twice a day, some three, some just one. I feed frozen brine shrimp in the morning and flakes at night. You should only feed 6 days out of the week, and set aside one day for fasting. Fasting helps keeps away swim bladder disorder, bloat, and constipation.

Ich will have white spots all over their body, like grains of salt. Also they'll swim around and try to scratch on things.

Velvet will be visible as yellow/gold spots on their bodies, but you'll need to turn out the light and shine a flashlight on them to see the gold.

Fungus will be white or graying patches or cottony-looking areas on their bodies.

Is the fish breathing hard, does he have any of these discolorations mentioned above? Is he bloated or are his scales sticking out? Is he swimming normally?

Make *sure* that you don't mix medications in the water. Do a full water change between meds that you try unless they are specifically stated on the package as being used together.

Most people on here recommend that you don't treat unless you can determine just what's wrong with them, as the medications can be very hard on their systems, possibly even harder than the diseases themselves.

Check here for some more information about diseases/symptoms/treatments:

Good luck to you, and I hope that your fish is feeling well soon! :)

Please post another picture. I can't tell anything about your fish by the pictures on your profile.

Another picture would be helpful, considering the ones on your profile don't show us anything.

I'm sorry - but not offering any detailed description, and refusing point blank to post a clear picture of your sick fish isn't helping anyone to help him, you know?

If you're changing a 1 gallon bowl once week only, he is probably sick from ammonia build-up. This is what happens when the bowl fills up with fish waste when it's not changed often enough, and helps other diseases to set in, like fin rot (the holes in his tail).

Why are you giving him ich guard? For the holes in his tail? It's a completely different illness..

I would recommend, on the little bit of information I have to go on here, that you stop the ich guard (unless he actually has ich???) and give him a week of clean warm water (change it 100% every 2nd day) to a/ help him over the medication and b/ see if more frequent water changes help his fins heal up. Then, if the holes don't look like they're clearing up, start the Fungus Cure according to directions.

It's important to match water temperature on each water change. Make sure he isn't shocked by new water/different temperatures by floating him in his cup in the bowl for 10-15 mins, adding a little new water to the old (in the cup with him) every 5 mins.
