New Betta Owner

Hello to all! I recently purchased some betta fish and was surfing the internet on how to properly care for them, when I came across your site. I must say, I was pleased to find so many people who knew about Bettas because the ones who sold them at the pet stores surely didn't. Thanks to everyone here, I received the best advice on how to care for my new male Doubletail Betta Fish named Benji, along with my 5 Veiltail females (Vivid, Sable, Lulu, Loreli and Indigo)

Hello and welcome!!
This site was my savior when I still had Lakitu. It's the most active :)
I'd love to see Benji and all your girls! :)
Enjoy your time with us!

Welcome!! I've also found that this site has the most friendly members. I was on another forum before, and don't get me wrong they were helpful--but super rude.

Thanks! Also my male Benji has started his bubble nest, but I don't think I'm experienced enough to breed him lol!

Hello!
They build bubble nests partially on instict, and partially when they are happy. :) It's a bit of both. Rest assured, your boy will be completely happy not being bred, but he'll still make his nests. :) One of mine is just a little guy, but he's the busiest little fish I've ever seen about making bubble nests. ;) That, and guarding the 1/2 inch of water space that he can see his neighbor over the paper divide between the tanks... ;)

Welcome to the boards, this is a wonderful place! :)
