Reading the API liquid ammonia test

Clearly I'm color blind or something because I cannot seem to read this test. I thought I was at about 4ppm, but after doing two water changes to get ammonia down to that peridot green, I think it was maxed out or off the chart.

Now I'm in a bit of a dilemma since I don't know if I'm reading these colors right. The baseline might have a bit of a greenish cast to it? At least to my eye? It's possible there's ammonia in my tap water, though, so not sure how to get a real baseline.

What's the best way to view these test tubes, since I can see it as two different shades depending on how close to the card it is?

picture me popping popcorn and getting settled in to watch the answers pour in. I also have issues because often the color is the same as, for example, a 4ppm, but much ligher without any of the yellow coloring that the card shows is in the 2ppm color.

Same here! I find it difficult to tell wether my ammonia is .25 or .5 or 1. They're so similar! xP

Oh well I'm lucky I see numerous shades alone, so the tests are easy for me :p My ammonia tends to be .25 or less.

I see the colors on the cards as separate colors, but often my test tube seems to be in the middle of two.

That probably makes sense that it could be. LOL>
