My female Fiona has the same thing xD Little pooper thought she could squeeze into the bottom of the ornament that tipped over and sliced herself open.


See the picture: Now, in your tank make sure there are no shells, no small openings, no overturned objects... You know those plants with the curved plastic bottom ancoir pieces? Make sure to bury them beneath the rocks deep and firm, or remove them. Suction cup plants, same thing. Those are two I hear commonly in my town about their bettas getting injured or suffocate because of! :o


My advice: CLEAN WATER. Super clean. Clean every day. I won't move Fiona because she acted all fine and dandy in her divided tank, and because your fishy is lethargic it is good you removed her - considering in a sorority she would be picked on because she is weakened. Clean water, protein rich foods, should do it :)
