Snail died - cleaning the tank

So I went on vacation and asked a friend to take care of my beta and snail and I came home to a dead snail. D: I'm not exactly sure what to do with the remains or how to clean the tank. Should I empty the water? Should I rinse it? Should I vacuum the gravel?

Do a thorough clean of everything( hot water) and change out all ghe water. Dead things create a high level of ammonia, so you will want your fish in new water asap.
And yes.... throw the snail away...
