Thank you for the idea RainbowSocks! I tried it today and he ate it right up with ease. Also cutting the pellets helps. He just doesn't like full ones I guess. xD

:D To each betta their own food preferences! I can't take credit for the pre-soaking thing; I read it somewhere on here when my betta was spitting out his pellets. :)

I agree with lelei but my betta Rex loves the aqueon pellets they are super small i would recommend aqueon pellets because Rex goes crazy for them.

I know this is a ways later, but I just learned that pre-soaking pellets can remove water soluble nutrients (which totally makes sense). So if you can get your betta to start eating un-soaked pellets, more power to you! If not, I figure soaked pellets are still better than flakes. :P
