Type of betta

Ha guys a got a baby betta at petco ( I know but it was the only place my parents were willing to take me cause they were having a sale. anyways I got a baby betta and I'm pretty sure he/she is about 7 weeks old thats just my guess and about an inch long does anybody know what tail type it is or if its a female or male? I really want to know! I'm pretty sure its a female but it was just a guess. Also if your wondering the picture is my profile picture. Also it's big enough to eat crushed up fish flakes.

Flakes aren't good for betta's it bloats them, try some micro pellets from hikari :)
If you post up a pic we maybe have a chance to know. but sometimes you can't tell from a very young age

I dont know how to put a picture in the comment but I did put it as my avatar if that helps. Yes I have heard about the flakes but I crushed some up into a really fine powder sometime I might try to get those micro pellets you talked about too.

I'd reccomend getting a good quality betta food like Hikari First Bites, New Life Spectrum, or Omega One, and crush up. Pellets are generally better than flakes as you can control how much they eat more.

He/She looks a bit yound to tell gender, tail type. Maybe wait a few weeks and then it will be much easier. ;)
