Crying at every little thing

How can I stop being overly emotional every month?

Heck if I know. I cried this month because I watched Brave with a friend of mine. :P

HA! Happens. Every. Month. Someone yells at me, I burst out crying. I watch a Disney movie, I'm in tears. I break a glass, my eyes well up.
I don't think you can do anything to help.
Just grit your teeth and suck back up those salty tears xD

I've heard that if you look up when you feel like you're going to start crying it helps to hold the tears back.

Unfortunately I always forget that when an emotional situation strikes xD Fortunately I'm really good about keeping myself calm in public places so I haven't had to deal with any sort of public emotional breakdown, but as soon as I get somewhere private the waterworks are off and running.

Nothing wrong with being emotional though <3 I'm a total sap when it comes to movies and books. I usually find at least one part that makes me cry (unless the movie is, like, one of those B-rated horror flicks or something xDDD). My one dog has a look that makes my eyes start to well up as well. I have no idea why, but as soon as he fixes me with those big brown eyes and perks his ears up I just start tearing up and have to cuddle him xDDD

Go for walks. If you're crampy, take a cramp-specific painkiller like ibuprufin and go for a walk somewhere nice. Walking clears the head and the exercise helps produce happier hormones.

Try to get as much sun as possible. It's really tempting to stay indoors and hide, lol, but sunshine really makes a difference!

Use herbal teas like passionfruit to produce a sense of calm.

Do something creative! Use that energy for something else than angsting. Draw, paint, get some hobby clay.. I used to crotchet and even weave bead belts on a loom, fiddly things kept my mind busy..

Avoid people you just know are going to aggravate you. If you can't possibly do that, drink more passionfruit tea and count to ten while taking deep breath, before you speak.

And there's nothing really wrong with tears. Get a huge box of Kleenex and hire Sam I Am or the like, and let yourself have a good cry.
