Sebastian Michaelis, the demon butler fish! xD

xD Headed into Petco today to pick up a new heater and bulbs for the 10 gallon I'm getting set up, and came home with a new friend as well~ Lol, not like this was unplanned or anything though....with two boys and 8 free spaces, I plan to start slowly growing my fishy family again...so yeah xD
I had been looking for a Sebastian fish to go along with Ciel(both characters from the anime/manga Kuroshisuji/Black Butler)for several months now....and though this guy was a little small and slightly tattered and pale, looking in his eyes he struck me as a 'Sebastian'.
Mom wasn't too keen on him because he wasn't exactly the most attractive all pale and stress-striped with torn fins in that little cup xD But I know the power of clean, warm water and TLC....I have confidence that within the next week or so he will become quite beautiful ;)

So until he settles and colors up nicely for a proper photoshoot, here is just a few intro pictures. You know, an excuse to show him off a little and something to go back and look at later after he turns all gorgeous <3 Enjoy~

He is really pretty .. it never fails the " not your typical beautys" are the ones that will still your heart with personality... I love the last pic.. he's playing hide and seek...

Oh yes <3 I always especially adore when a more tattered/pale looking betta calls out to me.....its such a wonderfully rewarding feeling seeing how they grow and color up and heal over time. ;)

A little update.....because I didn't feel like there were enough pics to spam the board with a whole new thread xDD
So, Sebastian is settling in slowly.....hes having a little trouble adjusting to pellets(from what I have seen, it appears this Petco feeds a lot of freeze-dried bloodworms)and is still a bit clamped, but hes starting to look a little better for sure.
Today to help him stretch out his fins some, I set up the mirror for a few minutes of exercise and managed to snap a few neat little shots of him. I thought I'd share...so here you go ;) Enjoy~
