Is it me or is Fhil getting worse?

Ok so I turned off the filter cause I thought it was taking pieces of Fhil's fins off, but now I think it has gotten worse! Could he actually have dropsy? I'll try and get some pictures of him so you can see.

If after you turned off the filter and his fins are getting worse, he may have fin rot. :( I need pictures to be 100% sure, though. Have you tried baffling the filter?

I would turn the filter back on or all the dirt from your tank will be seeping back into your water which will def not help if he has fin rot

I know I am going to do something to stop that, I do have help from sakura8 but also he's really old so he might not make it
