Question 20G vs 10G dimensions

Is a 20G long tank wider or much taller then a standard 10G? I know its obviously LONGER but I can't tell if its wider or not and I can't find a ruler or tape measure.
I was thinking of sectioning off a little bit at the end of the 20g to house a baby betta and the LPS sells tank dividers but only for 10 and 40 gallon tanks. Yeah, I know I can make my own but everyone I had tried to make is a massive fail.

The baby is doing wonderfully and I would like to get it into a bigger, cycled tank and the only one I have that would work is the 20G.

Maybe I could do a breeder net instead?

You should be able to cut the 40 gallon divider to size for the 20. I believe a 10 gal is 20 inches long while the 20L is 30 inches. If I remember correctly the 20 is about 2 inches wider than the 10 gallon as well...

10 Gallon: 20 1/4 x 10 1/2 x 12 9/16
20 Gallon Long: 30 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 12 3/4

That's L x W x H

So it's 2 inches wider, and 3/16 of an inch taller.

My 20 gallon "long" is 30x12x12. It used to house my ball python but he has since been upgraded to a 75 gal and I can't stand to have an empty tank sitting around! I think I'm going to do a sorority :)

Thanks

I put the baby into a 10/15 gallon storage bin BUT I have about 20 or so baby (some are nickel sized) trapdoor snails in there and it is not filtered so I am not sure I want to keep the fish in there.
