VT betta with curled fins

My new betta has curled fins. Is that normal for a VT and will they heal up? I never really paid attention to male VT's

My most recent veiltail male had some curled fins. My mother's veiltail had some curled fins when she had a betta years ago. I think it's rather common. Nothing to worry about.

I just posted a thread about curling fins :3

I was told it could be from the water hardness, or as a result of healing fron fin rot or tail biting

My second VT's fins were short due to fin rot.

Okay just a little rant here.

This forum is OBSESSED with tail biting. I've never had a single tail biter and I've had hundreds of bettas. I think its been blown way out of proportion.

I'm not too sure it's entirely related to water hardness. I have very soft water (dGH 3), and I've still had bettas with curled fins.

I think tail biting is something they do if there's no other betta around. o.o
