Exclamation Replacement for IAL?

Hello,

Is black water extract a decent stand-in for Indian Almond Leaves? The local fish stores don't carry anything of the sort, but one owner also recommended banana leaves as a replacement but I don't think I can get those either.

And what does fin rot look like when it's hit the body? My boy Shigeru's had a little red dot on his right side since I got him; I thought it was a missing scale, but it's not gone away after 2 weeks.

Thanks! Your input is much appreciated!

oak leaves are a better replacement IMO and are much easier to find, banana leaves work great too, and you can find them at asian stores. fin rot looks black around the edges of the fins and it looks more and more ragged as it progresses

No, not on time for the treatment I plan to start tomorrow. How do you import them?

I see. If I can't find banana leaves, is the black water extract still a usable substitute?

I, HIGHLY advise against using oak leaves unless you live in a rural area.
