Tiger Barb and Peaceful Community (NOT)

I had a peaceful tank (Red Eye tetra, neon fish, and Betta). I introduced a couple of Tiger Barbs. It's totally my fault for not researching and it was a spur of the moment purchase at store. After a bunch of fin nipping and generally being annoying, I separated the Barbs into their own little tank.

What does everyone suggest I do with them. I was thinking of calling the pet store and asking if I could bring them back. I don't want a refund, I just want them to take off my hands!

When did you buy them? And do you have the receipt?

Idk about petsmart, but petco has a 15 day live return guarantee. If you don't have the receipt, they might be able to look up your purchase history on your card. They will definitely give you money back if you purchased them recently and have a receipt.

You could always call the store maybe and ask them? Just tell them the situation, if they are nice, knowledgeable people they might understand.

I called PetsPlus and they were fine with me returning my fish. I didn't ask for a refund, as I'm just glad to have them off my hands ;)
