20 gallon sorority question

Hello! I currently have a 20 gallon sorority tank with 7 female betta, 6 neon tetras, and 3 albino cory cats (planning on getting 1 more?) . Do I have any room to get a few ghost or RCS? The tank is filtered with an Aqueon Quietflow 10. It's also a planted tank. Thanks for any input :)

Because the filter is for a 10, I do not really suggest adding anything else. Because shrimp would be at the lower level with the cories, I'd be iffy with adding them. Between the bettas and the cories, the shrimp may not last

IMO you are a little overstocked as it is. My cory cat has grown to 3 inches already! There is a rule of thumb: inches to gallons. So you have about 22 inches of fish to 20 gallons right now.

That rule might be moot with a more powerful filter, tho, maybe someone more knowledgeable will address that. But maybe Sena already did!

That method is also very outdated.... Depends how much it poos 5 inch goldie in a 5 gallon bowl? Not likely It's a good rule to go on WITH bioload in mind, for beginners.

But yes, I wouldn't risk adding more. If you have a 20-30 filter you could get away with one more cory, but that's about it.

FYI - an Aqueon Quietflow 10 is rated for up to 20 gallons of water.

If it is a heavily planted tank, I'd add the shrimp, I enjoy feeding shrimp to my betta's. Maybe that is mean, But They love the hunt. lol
