tail biting

my fish curry I noticed he has a chunk missing out of his tail why do they tail bite he is imported from tailand if that makes a diffrence

He must be tail biting. It's mostly caused by stress and boredom. Just try to make him feel more safe and secure. Hollow decorations and a few silk plants would make him feel less stressed and bored. Just make sure it doesn't turn into fin rot and clean water should fix it. :)

I am sure it is caused by stress and the change of environment. I agree with LebronTheBetta in regards to setting up his home so he feels more comfortable. Also bright lights can sometimes cause tail biting. I learned that less first hand by accident. I would suggest adding Stress Coat to his water to help him relax and heal his fins before its gets worse.
