RIP Pearl

After jumping our for the fourth time (with a lid that is duck taped on) he didn't make it.

I got him from the female betta tank on boxing day and realized after about 2 weeks he was a male. I moved him to his own tank (half a gallon bowl as that was all I had) and he did pretty well.
When I got a 25g on craiglist it came with a 3.5 gallon and a heater. I moved him to that right away and he was soooo happy. The lid I had was a cookie cooling rack and fit perfectly except about one square inch the corner where the heater was. He managed to get out there. I found him in time while I was talking to my friend who loves bettas.

The second time he knocked of the paper pad that covered the hole and he got out, again, and his fins were all bloody. Somehow he lived.
When school was out I was cleaning my room and she was vacuuming up some fish food I spilled and he jumped out and almost got sucked up the vacum cleaner. He slithered out under the lid.
This time he wasn't so lucky. I dont know how he got out but he didnt make it.

at least you rescued from those prisons on cups, and gave him a nice life :)

I think he would of liked a cup better. I thought he was a female his fins were so cramped. He turned out to be a gorgeous spade tail. Flesh colored with a bit a blackish and some neon blue streaks.

I knew he would kill himself jumping, my freind who got me hooked on fish keeping, asked me to show her the lid and she looked so confused. She was like how the heck did he get out of there? And it was duct taped on . . .
Oh well, he is under the rainbow bridge now. <3 u Pearl.
