Aww, what a fantastic find! Adorable boy, and stunning colors!! <3
Thank you! I literally cannot walk into a pet store and not come out with some sort of underwater friend. I was amazed to see a Betta in such good condition at the Petsmart here. Usually, you're lucky to find any alive at all.
When I first joined here, last summer, I thought my blue HMCT male was a wondrous find. (While I believe all fishies truly are, he seemed really out there compared to the others) Now, a year later, I have had my hands on a Delta, a Orange VT and my Cambodian Female. I have seen halfmoons, dragonscales, and more recently Double Tails. Really really amazing. At this rate, less and less purchases are going to be made on Aquabid. (I know I'm probably gonna get some dirt for saying that. XD oh well)

My other two were a CT and a VT, this is my first HM. He's also my first Petsmart find, the other two were from a LFS. But I walked in and saw this little guy. To be honest, he didn't look very red due to the blue water, but once I got him acclimated I saw his true color and I'm really happy that I came out with a red. Especially to be in the condition he's in. (He was on sale, too!)
I've thought about ordering from breeders online, but until I have more space I probably will hold off on that. I've seen some really beautiful Bettas online, males and females alike, that have nearly changed my mind. I've thought about adding a male to my 30 gallon lately, or maybe a sorority.
