My first breeder HM

hey Guys! I have been studying and asking tons of questions on bettas and breeding. I just purchased two HM males from the Minnesota Betta shop. I just got them today and I am showing pictures of the first male. The second one is a tad freaked out so Ill take pictures of him another day. They are crappy pictures from my phone. I wanted to know what you guys think of the future father of my first HM spawn.

God isn't that betta shop awesome! I've been meaning to stop in there and drool over the fish every time I'm in town but I know I'll buy one and in the past i didn't have the room, now I just dont have the money lol. I don't think that will stop me next time though

The males I bought were S1 and S9 from the 7/3/12 shipment

The video is there in Show HM males

Ivandert - YES! They had BEAUTIFUL bettas and I have been searching for good HM males that were turqoise/royal blue without red wash and with clean fins. Aquabid hasn't been too good to me, I always see people get these drop dead gorgeous fish and I must always miss those auctions
Anywho, I hope you find the space and extra funds for a betta from this shop. They are so nice and Easy to deal with. I would recommend them to EVERYONE.

He has amazing proportion! Nice, but has some minor faults
1. Slight Spoonhead
2. The short front dorsal ray
3. Thin ventrals

He is lovely! Blue Butterfly's are one of my favorite patterns! I can't wait to see his spawn log!

I have a Question Sincerely, When looking for a female, I wanted

1)more upright dorsal
2) shorter anal fin
Anything else I should look for in particular?

I need some suggestions to better the fry form

And I am with you! I absolutely LOVE Blue/turquoise butterfly patterns!

I believe I may pair him with a turqoise female or royal blue.

Input is appreciated!
