I have looked into the wild types but honestly, never having kept them before I'd be worried I would make a mistake. I know its no different from keeping a HM or anything but the term wild makes me feel bad for keeping them(which is why I haven't)

Easy wilds include, imbellis, splendens, smaragdina, and pugnax.

I'm very interested in pugnax, despite its Latin name it's not really a fighter and an easy mouth brooder.

What about that fish do you like in particular?
That is something that I am considering though, petstore to quality. Petstore Ct's in particular are pretty pathetic in general.

I have to say the fin structure, it is rare these days to see a crowntail with such balanced, strong fins, it looks so clean cut and well presented, some crowntails these days can look very messy!

That Ct look rather weak to me
It just a pet shop fish that I see everytime at the store
Color is unbalance
Normal web reduction
The body is to tiny
Overall I won't breed it

I think I am going to try getting a few petstore crowntails and trying to get a decent line going.
As I start looking through some local petstores, I'll let you all know what I find!
