My New Halfmoons....

Just thought I'd share my long finned crew with you all .

First we have the guy I got today. I saw him over a month ago at Petco. He was full of fire and flare. His orange color with charcoal edges was so pretty. I wanted to get him but had no room and I was sure he would find a home. To my suprise he was still there when I went today. His pretty fins were starting to show the effects of lack of care and he was skinny from a inproper diet. So I brought him home. I think I'm going to call him Falkes after the Phoenix in Harry Potter.

My other newbies are all from Karen Mac Auley and they are all siblings. All three are beasts, Karen feeds her fish very well. The light female is very naughty and has jumped her divider 3 times to get with the boys. She is now in solitary confinement, lol. These 3 don't have names yet.

They are all GORGEOUS! They looked photoshopped at first because of their vibrant colors!


Does that last one have RED eyes??????

the first one has BLACK eyes, the second one has beautiful BLUE eyes, the third has entrancing white eyes, and the last one has RED eyes....


Isn't this rare to have bettas with any other eye color than black? My friends betta has blue eyes....is this rare???

I didn't even notice the different colour of eyes, wow they are gorgeous.

Thanks everyone They're not as pink as they look it's the lighting. The pink is more of a maroon color.

@ vilmarisv- They are out of a salamander male and a blue DT geno female. I bought the maroon and steel girl for my DT male and in typical Karen fashion she sent a couple extras.

Haha, yeah. Karen has been found guilty of that in many occasions.

I thought I was getting 3 fish on Tuesday and found a stunning female had jumped in the box.
Of course, I ended up completely changing my breeding plans and putting that female in the spawn tank with one of the males. BUT they are not spawning! Been 2 days in there and NOTHING. Might try my other female and this one later. I want a spawn from that boy sooo bad!

Sorry for the rant... I'm just frustrated over it.
