Just a thought on the crescent tank. There is an open area for the filter and feeding area. My betta jumped out last night, I managed to get him back in the tank, however he didn't make it. So just a word of caution there. I'll be at college at well in the fall with a 10 gal glass aquarium. They really aren't too much heavier, and acrylic is very easy to scratch. Good luck with your new tank!

Hey my betta is not a jumper. I had him in a bowl with no cover and he always behaves lol! I'll check local petsmart and see what they have available! If you're in college, how do you manage to take care of your fishie during breaks ??

I have 3 boys, most likely will be in a 10 gal divided or a 10 gal and 5 gal. I plan on leaving my 20 gal long setup at home and just bring them home in their cups over x-mas break.

Uhm..nevermind I lied :) I saw the Tetra Tank on Amazon and it was 36$ ! So much cheaper than petsmart + petco prize and I love the LED light so I ended up ordered the tank instead of buying the 5.5 gal from petsmart :)

My boy is not a jumper so I think he will fine in it. I comes on Wednesday so I will take pictures ;) so excited !! Now I need to figure out how to cycle it!

I'm thinking about fish-in cycle so I can use the tank right away. I only have 1 heater so I can't both keep my fish happy and cycle the tank at the same time. What do you think?

For Christmas break. I think I'm gonna get the pet keeper little thing from petsmart and travel with him in it :D Hopefully he will be alright :(

I'm sure they have tops, just clear so the light shines through.
