UGH!
I have a 1 gallon with a female betta who is very energetic, and needs more room. I have a 3(?) gallon with male #1 who is old and doesn't move much. I have a 2.5 gallon with male #2 who can see himself in the sides and NEVER stops fighting with his reflection, and is now tail biting!!
My plan is to move the female into the 2.5 gallon tank so she'll have more room to swim and be merry. I'm going to move male #1 into her tank, the 1 gallon, since he doesn't need as much room, and I think that the smaller tank stays warmer. (I don't have a temperature problem, but old people like to me warm, so why not old fish?) I'm going to move male #2 into the 3 gallon since he's so energetic but he can't see himself in that one. (It's a bowl)
How does my plan sound? Also, how do I go about this? How do I make sure that the tanks don't keep any bacteria from the first fish? I have one cup for each of them, so that's not a problem. This is a bit off topic, but should I add aquarium salt to male #2's new water?
Edit: The only thing that they have in their tanks that won't be moving with them are heaters, thermometers, and a leaf hammock.
