Picked up the boy from this thread today: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=107157

His owner kept him in a 2.5 gal and didn't want him anymore. This is the picture she sent me (her iPhone picture, I apologize that it's awful):

(Goodness, I posted the same information on another forum and received a lecture and a half for 'befriending' someone who didn't want to properly care for her betta, and for trying to find an option that didn't involve shipping. Oops! I guess Kijiji transactions require a lot more personal investment than I thought. :))

He is very beautiful how nice of you to take him and give him such a lovely home, he does look so happy in the pictures. Does he have purple in him or just the lighting along with the pretty purple plants ? Best Wishes !

The purple plant is always a favourite, both humans and fish alike XD. To be honest, this is my second...interaction with a complete stranger and they're almost always awkward, haha! Then again I'm the awkward one, usually

Thank you so much! He's not actually purple. He's a royal blue with a LOT of red-wash which gives the illusion of purple :)
