New fish/tank help-Advice needed!

So, with me moving into my new dorm about 40 days away from now, I get to get my fish soon!!! I might even be able to get it next week if I beg enough ;)

And therefore I need to find out what Pudge (my next fish) will need.

So, I just made a thread in the chat section of the thread, and asked about tanks. I might be getting a regular class tank, (Like this) and dividing it. Therefore, I don't have to worry about saving for ANOTHER tank for Buddha.

Now, I need a filter and heater, that's a granted. Especially if it's going to be a large and divided. (I'm most likely getting a 5 gallon to divide ). I know sponge filters are the best, but I don't know the brand. Also, what do I have to use to divide it? Are there specific dividers to search for on amazon..?

you can get this from top fin http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=3742975 OR you can make one, i made mine. i find mine is less see through than the top fin ones.
