i was at pet barn the other day, and i saw those ivy betta bowls. i've seen them on amazon before, but i assumed the were magnets. i couldn't my hand in there. it looked like it held less water than those cups. later that day we were at walmart and i saw 3 female bettas, with those little stipes down their body. they were in disgusting water. i couldn't even see one of them. sadly, i couldn't take them home... i came back today, and the same fish were in clean water. i almost threw my arms in the air yelling. tthat day i saw them in that water, my dad had to drag me out of there. i was crying and screaming, just wishing that i could give just one a home.

I am thinking about going to walmart and yelling at the manager and then giving them a cleaning schedule when the tanks need to be cleaned. Also i will tell them to hire somebody who will be by the fish daily to: feed, change water and just make sure they are doing ok. This means that they would check if the bettas have any diseases and if so treat them. I am sick and tired of walmart+petstores treated their bettas as if they are just a decoration, BECAUSE.....THEIR NOT DECORATIONS!!!!!!

Our local walmart actually stopped stocking the bettas. They still have bowls and stuff just not the fish. Doesn't suprise me.

It is not just walmart but any pet store about the same. Even at locally owner pet store still keep bettas in a very sad water and container.

my local pet shop keeps them in glass bowls with NO lids and the bowls hold as much water or less then the cups. They have them filled to the brim

The other day I was at a different walmart that has all types of fish. And it was so gross, some tiny fish (don't recall the type) there were at least a dozen of them dead, somehow all in a pile in the bottom of the tank.

I have seen the tanks if you want to call them that!At a local petstore that is manly fish you would think they would know better!How sad
