I'm thinking once my baby platys get big I will put to of them in with my betta, will this be ok?

I would watch them carefully. Platies are pretty colorful, so the betta should notice them immediately.

Hope you have some hiding places & plants.

I do, I had them floating yesterday and almost immediately was able to put them in. Fhil reacted calmly, he didn't even flare at them! I was so shocked
