So, I went to Pet Supplies Plus to get some supplies for my third betta, yet to be named. Anyway, this is the same store where I had a little "education" chat with the cashier the other day about the poor betta they have in a glass on the counter. Well, I was sad to see he was still in the glass, but had a chance to speak with another associate who I am familiar with there, and I told her about my concerns, and about the cashiers rude eye roll at me. She didn't agree to remove the betta that was on the counter, though assured me his water is changed every day. I did notice it was cleaner. I also went and checked out the other bettas they have there, and they were in great shape, clean cups, and only about 6 of them total, a good amount for a pet store. I also spoke with the guy who cares for them, and mentioned he was feeding them too much, he appreciated the advice. Oh, and yeah, I went back and applied for a part-time job there, and when I told the higher up about the rude cashier, she said, "We are going to let her go anyway"...I hope I get to work there, and care for the bettas!
