Sabino unfortunately passed away today.

She was the absolute best sorority member, choosing to rub against the offensive party member instead of bite or chase. Needless to say, she creeped out any opposition to her rule before it even started.

She was a curious girl that needed to taste everything new to the tank, including snail shells.

Unfortunately, she contracted a serious illness when we moved. She developed huge ulcers in her side overnight which became infected. Sakura, being the kindest person, sent us some kanamyacin to try and help us. Sabino made it through the first treatment and healed to just about 100%. She just needed to get back some muscle tone and she would be good to go.

Last night the largest of the ulcers opened again. We started immediately with kanamyacin, but she did not make it.

Rest in piece Sabino, perhaps there will be some more bettas like you so you don't creep everyone out.

D: I remembered following the thread where you and your sister were trying so hard to make her well again. Was so happy when she made a full recovery...

I'm sorry for your loss, sleep in peace little fish.

I'm so sorry. At least you tried your best and she died in a proper home, heated and maybe filtered?
