So I''m going to Petsmart to get some decorations for my tank that is coming. Now, I don't have tank yet. Or the filter. Or the mesh/binder for the divider.
Now, here's my dilemna. While I'm at Petsmart, do I look for a Pudge (the name of my future betta) to bring home? I was told by my dad to wait til it gets closer to school time, but I leave for college in 38 days. I don't want to wait too long because then I won't be comfortable adjusting the fish. It takes me 2-3 weeks just to get myself ready :/
I don't want to go against his will, but this is with my money I'm spending it. If I do get Pudge tomorrow, he will be going in the kritter keeper I have until the tank is ready. Most likely, I will be working on the tank with Buddha in the bowl, and Pudge in his tank. Therefore, there will be no working around the fish xD
Now, I know what the signs of healthy bettas are. And I'm going to have to go through some tough searching to find the best one. But can I have some pointers on acclimating the new fish (if I do get him tomorrow?). Most likely, I will attend to him as soon as I get home so I won't be able to get online.
