2 in 10gal or 1 in 5 & 1 in 5 ?

Is it better for them to have their own tank, since they can smell each other? Sorry, Im talking about the males.

I was just to set up a 10, with one male, but have the stuff just in case and i can divide it in half. However, if its better for them to be separate, Ill do buy a 5 if I get another one.

Ok, thanks very much.

you only would need 2 separate 5 gals. if it was a female and male you wanted, because the femalegives off pheromones.

I like 1 in 5 and 1 in 5 better. Just in case if they jump over the divider or anything.

i didn't think about that really...

unless u do double dividers, that would lessen the chance

I think you should get two seperate. It would be a little easier so you don't have to worry about making a divider. You also don't have the worry or the future trouble of the divider failing and them getting at one another. Also as said, it isn't good to keep a male and a female in the same tank anyways divided or not. Then again a 10 would probably be cheaper... it's all about what you are willing to spend really and the gender.

I'm doing two in a 5.5 gal right now. So I guess you could go with whatever you feel more comfortable with.

If you want to spend money/time on the divider, than you can do that...

Yeah, cheaper to go with 2 in 10, because of the equipment. So, thank you again for your input.

I think they enjoy being around each other.. I'd go with 2 in a 10.. I don't see how keeping a male and female in the same tank divided would be bad either.. But that's another topic altogether.
