Hi all, I was on vacation for a week (my fish was being taken care of at a friends house in his 1 gal tank while I was away) and now that I've gotten back, I noticed that there is now what looks like a protein film in his 5 gal tank at home (again, no fish in there) but it isn't on the surface and instead hovering around the bottom. I am cleaning all the decor and I will rinse the gravel/ suck stuff up with the vacuum. Just wondering, what could it be? Thanks! All input is appreciated
Since he wasn't in the tank while you were gone--does it have a filter? I'm thinking if there was little or no water current, particulates in the water could have settled near the bottom--it might even be a type of bacterial bloom?
oh I missed that part. my bad! lol. ignore my response...
