The only moment I'd consider a one gallon is as a hospital tank for a betta that can hardly swim up to get air, and even then you can just have him or her in a 2 g not filled completely.

what size tank do you have? Is that a 2.5gal?

Yep 2.5 g work tank; and its pushing it, but I needed a cubicle mate. She is wonderful. Water changes arent too bad though but I need rooted plants as I only have floating right now.

@Finn She does seem thankful, especially when her weekly bloodworm treats come around... lol
