You can check what your female is by looking at her rays. Just because she spreads 180, doesn't prove she's HM. If her rays branch out more than twice, she's delta/HM. If its spreads 180 AND has 3 or 4 sets of branching, she's HM. If it stops at two, she's VT.

That's the hardest part of females, telling what their true tail type is!

I think the mom is VT. I have a VT female looks almost identical. I look at her tail and fin below her tail (long and sharp point VT is almost certian)

Well after about a half an hour of trying to look at her (she would not stop moving or Isabel her best friend that is always next to her it's cute and all but i needed to see her) she's a veiltail.
