Single white dot/line above eye

It's right above his eye, like where it meets the rest of his head. Kind of looks like an angry eyebrow. There doesn't seem to be much else wrong with him, he's swimming around a lot and eating fine. He's black/very dark purple, so any other spots would be really easy to see, and there are none.

Housing
What size is your tank? 5G
What temperature is your tank? 80
Does your tank have a filter? yep
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? no
Is your tank heated? yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? none

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Nutrafin Max. Literally all I could find in 3 different stores.
How often do you feed your betta fish? Morning, night, 2-3 each time.

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? Twice a week, only one so far though.
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? 50%

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters? Haven't tested, but just changed it yesterday, after him having been in there for about 3 days.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Little white dot above one eye.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? I don't think it has. He swims back and forth in the back or front of the tank a lot.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Late last night or this morning.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Nope
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Just got him
How old is your fish (approximately)? Forgot to ask at the store, but he seems small.

I've tried to get pictures, but it's a really small dot and he keeps moving too.

Also, I was reading the stickies on diseases and now I'm paranoid that he has the early signs of dropsy. Probably just paranoia from the fact that I'm not all that used to what he looks like yet. Anyways, not sure about if the eyes are bulgy, they may actually be normal. And it seems that the scales on the bottom of his belly are much lighter than the rest of him (behind the little bitty fins in front). Again, not sure if that's normal for him, especially since its hard to see down there.

Can you post a pic?
Bettas change color so it's posible that's what you're seeing.
The white part of his belly is normal.

I've been trying to get a picture, but it really is small. It doesn't seem like it would be his colouring, he's black and purple with bits of pink on his fins. I'll try and post of a pic of his general colour, hopefully the white will turn up.

Sorry its so blurry, but this is the best I have. He's actually a lot more purple than the blue he seems here, the flash ruins his colour but its the only way to make him not a purple blur. That is the eye with the white, if it helps. Also, I noticed when he was eating that the space between his face and lips when he reaches out to eat is white as well, could it just be his 'skin' showing through?

If the area is as smooth as the rest of his scales I'm sure he's fine.
Dark colored bettas often have pale patches on their faces that come and go.

Thanks for the input. The spot's actually gone now, which makes me feel kind of silly to have worried about it so much when it was only there for like two days. Odd. First time I've had a fish since I was really little, so I worry.

He looks very healthy and really pretty ! I have a blue crowntail that looks so much like him but he doesnt have any purple but when his bright hood light is on you can see the blue almost has a purple sheen on his tail fin.
