Picky Eater?

So, I've had my betta for about a week and a half and he still hasn't eaten anything. I've offered 2 different kinds of pellets, flakes, and bloodworms. I'm starting to think I might have a picky eater on my hands. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to feed a picky eater or any tips and tricks on getting him to eat? I've tried moving his food around the tank with my finger and soaking the pellets in garlic, but no such luck...

Try frozen or live. Are you sure he isn't sick? Like lethargic and not alert or active at all?

He is very active and seems to act healthy other than not eating

Try soaking the pellets in garlic sauce. Hopefully this will do the trick.

The OP already tried that. If he's not sick, just try frozen or live.

Are the pieces you are trying small enough for his mouth ? Might try crashing a pellet and offering that to him or buy some smaller pellets. I use the New Life Spectrum Betta Formula and my Betta loves those and they are very small plus they already have garlic in them. Wish I could be of more help but keep trying sometimes a new Betta will not eat for awhile. Good luck !

I left the 2 pellets I soaked in garlic in the tank after I went to bed last night and they are gone this morning and they're not in the filter so maybe he ate them when I wasn't watching.
