Exclamation Very slightly raised scales?

I'm not sure if I'm over reacting or what. I've recently noticed it looks like teeney's scales are slighty raised. Like you cant see them sticking out when you look at her from above but it almost looks like they are from a side angle... My mom said she doesn't think they're sticking out... But I'm paranoid, especially since 3 weeks ago I removed Teeney & 3 other bettas from a sorority I had. The 3 girls died of parasites, Teeney didn't look like she had been affected but I still treated her with 5 days of maracyn 2 & ES.

Housing
What size is your tank? 5 gallons
What temperature is your tank? 80 degrees F
Does your tank have a filter? yes
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? Nerite snail

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? AM- omega one PM- NLS
How often do you feed your betta fish? 2 x a day

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? At least once a week/more if my parameters require since I'm doing a fish in cycle.
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? Usually around 50%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Water conditioner (Prime) sometimes flourish fertilizer for plants

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia: .5-.75 ppm (my tap has ammonia and the prime isn't lowering it by much)
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:0
pH: 7.2
Hardness
Alkalinity: ?

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? (I think) slightly raised scales; some of her scales are getting a black color to them, she's always had some black scales but more seem to be getting black.)
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? Not at all
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Yesterday
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? No
Does your fish have any history of being ill? No but was expose to sick sorority for a few days but separated 3 weeks ago.
How old is your fish (approximately)? Full grown; but I've had her since 4/9/2012

I'm getting a picture right now... Gonna upload it in a second.

She's got a bit of a belly but nothing that I would consider bloated. It's always been a grey color since I got her...

Her eyes an face seem fine...

How long has she been off the epsom salt, or was it just the 5 day treatment you did.

If you're paranoid and she's got a bigger belly, then I think I would go on the safe side and start epsom salt at 1 tsp/gal. she might just be eggy, which sometimes causes slight pineconing around the belly since it does get rather large with ripe eggs.

I doubt she's got dropsey. I bet you since you started to feed her the NLS betta food, she's chipmunking it.

Lay off the food for a day or 2.

What kind of camera are you using?

Thank you. This made me feel better... Uh my camera is the kodak easy share c182. It can take okay pictures, but only in certain light... Like bright sun light.

Yes she was treated with ES for the 5 days she was on maracyn 2.
I was thinking she could be eggy, I googled "eggy female betta" and she looks like a few of them. How long do they stay eggy usually?

Okay well I'm thinking I was just being paranoid... I feel a bit more relaxed about the situation... It was really stressful at the time my sorority... incident.. happened and I guess it just kind of traumatized me.. xD I worry a lot now about illness... and I guess I tend to worry that if I overlook something it could be fatal. -_-

If it was just nothing... sorry to waste everyone's time.

I've had females remain eggy from anywhere in between 4 days to a month.

She definitely might be getting piggy if she likes the new food though.
