What in the world is the matter with this frys rays?

This really stinks!! This boy has great color, and strait edges, and full 180 but what is going on with that middle ray?!?! Will that work itself out or is it a defect? is it passible onto any future fry? Did i do something wrong to have caused this?

Curious indeed. Never saw anything like this. On the other hand, if the fish swims right and behaves normally, maybe its not particularly bad.

Love the red color!
Yup! It looks like he didn't decide in time of he wanted to be a DT or an HM.
I've been wondering about those middle rays myself.
I got the female below from my last spawn and she obviously has DT in her considering her dorsal but if you look at the middle rays, you see 2 very close ones.
