Question Does anyone have a Hawkeye aquarium?

So my petco just got the Hawkeye Aquarius Panaview Aquarium Kit in, it looks really nice and I'm so tempted to get one but I wanted to get some reviews first :P Does anyone have this tank, or any tank by Hawkeye? Did you like it? How was the filter? The lights?

Thanks!

I have it. I really like the lights a lot, there are 3 settings, but I did not like the filter. My little betta got sucked up to the back of it. I started using an Azoo filter instead but the back acrylic of the tank is too thick to fit it, so I had to put it on the side and then the hood doesn't lay flat.

I would ask to look at the filter, it's a suction cup submersible filter if I remember correctly (I don't use it at all) and you may not like it.

Lovely setup! hmm, that's too bad about the filter :( I still love the tank though! What kind of plants are those BTW?

Hmm, at the time, they could have been an "Aquatic Combo" from Petco which I do not recommend because I since found out they are not aquatic at all, and some Anubias from a lovely local planted aquarium store, which I DO recommend because they have lasted a long time, and my bettas really like them tied to Mopani wood OR just floating around the tank.

I have taken out the driftwood from some of my tanks while I try to find time and patience to sand it down- i have a few fish with ripped fins so I decided to really "baby" them. But other bettas I have never seem to rip their fins on the wood.

Cool I will look into getting some Anubias, I think I've seen it at petsmart. Thanks!

Anubias are great. You can't kill them! (Well I haven't killed them and that's saying a lot)

Yes I have a moss ball too and they are very easy. I just take it out once in awhile and gently squeeze it, roll it into a nice round ball and throw it back in.

You don't try hard enough. I killed anubias. I put them in some RO water and they melted. lol. Anacharis weren't even phased by the RO water.
