So here are the new girls that I just brought home. I feel pretty confident that the pink girl I have been thinking about for days, and went back to save, will pull through just fine, but her sister doesn't look so good I brought her home anyway, and I'm going to try to bring her back, but even if I can't, at least she will die in warm, clean water, with someone who cares about her <3

The girls need names Need suggestions, badly!

The ladies in their little Kritter Keeper things, that I bought to quarantine and house them until I figure out what tank to put them in. Those pandas are coffee mug caves :)

And, the sick baby that I just didn't have the heart to leave there, because I thought she was dead when I went to check on them yesterday:


I can't seem to get a good picture of it, but her gills are very red, and the scales around the gills are shiny and silver, while the rest of her is yellow.

Thanks guys! These little peanuts are a lot feistier than the boys; the males were all timid and listless, and even the last rescue I brought home a week ago is timid and not a good eater. But these little girls are curious and friendly.

The little yellow one was laying on the bottom of the cup not moving yesterday and today, and I thought she was dead until I picked her up and made her swim. Hoping she pulls through, after all she's been through I'd like to give her a good life and a full belly :)

What about Salt and Pepper? The one with the darker fins should be Pepper, and the one with lighter fins should be Salt. Salt's a bit weird, but that's all I got. You could take in Sugar instead of Salt but eh, you decide.

The girls are looking much better after a night in clean water! The little pink girl is turning irredescent and purple :)

I don't use gravel in the NEWBIES tanks.

Makes it easier to see if they're EATING/processing properly.

I always try to fatten up the new ones FIRST.

So as long as they're processing, they get to eat.

So far this method works for me.
